In April 2024 we had the pleasure of welcoming a guest speaker in the Business English I lesson. Brian Martel currently holds the position of Chair of the works council at Vienna International School, but before moving to Austria, he worked in Financial Services in the Netherlands.  He held various positions for over 25 years with companies including Achmea and Rabobank.  He had a multitude of experience in his positions as Account Manager, Regional Manager, Team Manager, Commercial Manager and Sales Manager. In his keynote speech he navigated the students through the importance of building trust using the basis of the trust equation.  He took them on a journey to show them the importance of trust as a key element in fostering effective and professional behaviour. Students welcomed the opportunity to ask questions about the trust equation and practise their business vocabulary.
